Plagiarizing playwright suspended from cop duty

Edmonton Journal:

"Det. Jack Herman, the American police officer who plagiarized a number of hit Canadian plays, has been suspended from work pending an investigation into his theft of intellectual property."

Holland saw one script, The Tale of Two Cities, that Herman actually did write and found it to be so horrid that the company could not stage it. But, later, Herman came back with a number of brilliant scripts which were subsequently used.

"I must admit, I feel like an idiot," Holland says.
