World Day of Theatre for Children and Young People 2006

"On March 20th, every year since 2001, the World Day of Theatre for Children and Young People has been celebrated all over the world by the international community of theatre practitioners for children and young people.

The main purpose of the World Day of Theatre for Children and Young People is to attract attention of a wider public to the art of theatre for children and young people.

Events during the World Day may be special performances, open rehearsals, lectures, exhibitions, articles in newspapers and magazines etc, etc. Events are primarily organised by national ASSITEJ centres or by theatre companies or theatre organisations.

ASSITEJ UK (the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People) would welcome any feedback to info@assitej.org.uk on how members added to the pool of world experiences. It all helps to raise the profile of the arts, ASSITEJ UK 's work and of our children."
